Teach valuable life lessons that shape the way your players respond to situations on and off the field.
Sense of pride in the development of your player and their teammates n and off the field.
A coach will impact more people in one year than the average person will in a lifetime.
FAQ
How do I register?
In order to register, please select a location nearest you. You can visit our locations page in order to see what campus is the best fit for you. Once you’ve done that, you will want to click on the register button, create a Play Metrics account and signup for one of our leagues.
Does my child need a uniform?
Yes, players will have to order a uniform after they receive their confirmation email with ordering information. The uniforms are $54 which includes two jerseys, a pair of shorts and a pair of socks.
The uniform runs on a 2-year cycle so you will be able to use them for multiple recreational seasons.
Is the league competitive or recreational?
Rec+ is a recreational program designed for players who are looking to stay active, learn a new sport, or continue their learning journey in a fun and exciting environment.
The league is recreational and not designed to be like a competitive program with regards to traveling and levels. Where the program excels is that we are able to offer professional coaching at an affordable price while remaining a recreational environment where players can learn at their own speed.
Are the coaches volunteers or actual coaches?
Our program provides licensed, professional coaches to each group of players. When groups break out into their games, volunteer coaches will assist with making sure all players get into the game while the licensed coach becomes the referee for their game and manages the game.
What are the time commitments weekly?
Each program lasts for 7 weeks. Each week there will be one hour and fifteen minutes of play. The players will train for 30 minutes with a licensed coach and play a 45-minute game afterward. Training sessions are based upon an age-appropriate curriculum that develops kids technical abilities.
Is there travel involved?
Unlike many other recreational programs, our program is completely in-house which means you will never need to travel for a game. All practices/games will be located at the field you sign up for.
What are the age groups?
U7 & U8 (2019 & 2018)
U9 & U10 (2017 & 2016)
U11 & U12 (2015 & 2014)
U13 & U14 (2013 & 2012)
U15 – U18 (2011 – 2008)
What if my child has never played?
That is no problem. Many players are new, recently new, or joining our program to continue their interest within soccer at a recreational level. The training sessions are designed to accommodate players of all levels based on age-appropriate curriculum.
Can my son play up or down an age?
Players are unable to play down in age. If the player requests to play up, they are able to play one age group above. We do not recommend playing up an age group unless your child is physically or technically too dominant for their current age group.
What are the expectations for parent involvement?
Our program is designed to create an environment that does not require the parents to be involved. We do look for volunteers to help with managing the teams during the game. If you are interested in assisting, please reach out to c.maret@floridapremierfc.com.
How do I become a volunteer?
Rec+ has licensed, professional coaches who coach the player during their training sessions weekly. After the training session, players will then break out into their games and two volunteer coaches will help manage each team. In order to sign up as a volunteer, please reach out to Corey Maret, the director, who will reach out to you with the next steps.
What should my child bring to the field?
You will want to make sure that your child has the Rec+ uniform kit. Other essential items will include: cleats, shin guards (with socks to cover them), a ball and water.
What is your weather policy?
We will notify all parents via e-mail and reschedule the make-up class within 60 days of the missed session.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you register and pay but notify us before the first game, you will be refunded the registration fee minus 10% (administrative cost).
If your child attends one game and decides they don’t like it, they will not be refunded unless there is a medical or family emergency.
